Huanghai Shipbuilding received 4 orders for 4 5400HP pure electric tugboats as tugboats

On January 4th, Huanghai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. signed a contract with Tianjin Xinjincheng Shipping Technology Service Co., Ltd. to build four 5400HP pure electric tugboats at the port.

This ship type is a new generation of green and environmentally friendly tugboat, with a total length of 40 meters, a width of 10.8 meters, a depth of 4.8 meters, a designed draft of 3.6 meters, a towing force (forward towing) of ≥ 65 tons, a towing force (backward towing) of ≥ 60 tons, and a service speed of 13 knots. This ship type is equipped with 2 variable frequency motors for driving, 360 degree full rotation with fixed pitch rudder propellers and guide tubes. The power battery consists of 8 sets of lithium iron phosphate batteries, with a total capacity of approximately 6709kWh. The reserved battery capacity can be expanded to 8000kWh. Mainly used to assist ships entering and leaving the port in operations such as pushing and towing at the dock.
