The Automation, Navigation, and Control Systems (ANCS) business unit under the technology group Wartsila has delivered a complete set of solutions for China's first domestically produced large cruise ship, Adora Magic City, including NACOS Platinum Valmatic automation and control systems, valve door control systems, low-level lighting, navigation systems, engine and cab consoles, and intelligent motor control units. In addition, Wartsila also provides bow propulsion systems and their dynamic balance systems, cables, and steel components, contributing to the outstanding performance of this giant ship.

This comprehensive system not only improves the efficiency and safety of the "Aida Modu" cruise ship, but also makes it a pioneer in the Chinese cruise industry. Wartsila has successfully delivered all equipment to customers in 2021 and 2022, and the cruise ship is currently preparing to start its maiden voyage from Shanghai on January 1, 2024.

Thomas Heldarskard winnerskjold, Director of Automation and Navigation at ANCS, said, "ANCS has always focused on the cruise industry and is committed to achieving innovative automation and navigation capabilities. The 'Aida Magic' not only represents a leap in China's shipbuilding industry, but also opens up new opportunities for China's cruise industry."

Zhou Qi, the project manager of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSSC), said, "The importance of this project lies not only in showcasing the strength of China's shipbuilding industry, but also in setting new standards for China's luxury cruise industry with innovative products and continuous support from Wartsila ANCS."
