Yangzi Xin Fu Delivers the Fifth 24000TEU Class Container Ship
On the afternoon of August 31st, the fifth 24000TEU ultra-large container ship "MSC Türkiye" built by Yangtze River Shipbuilding Group's subsidiary Yangzi Xin Fu Shipbuilding was officially delivered to the shipowners SEASPAN and Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) for operation.
On August 28th, Mr. Su Xiaohua, Project Manager of SEASPAN's Asset Management Department, and Mr. Yang Xueyan, Assistant General Manager of Yangtze River Shipbuilding Group and General Manager of Yangzi Xin Fu, signed the delivery documents on behalf of both parties. Representatives from China Construction Bank Leasing Ship Business Department, MSC Project Supervision and Construction Group, and Yangtze River Shipbuilding Group's Operation Department witnessed the delivery ceremony.
This ship is the fifth 24000TEU container ship delivered by Yangzi Xin Fu since March this year. It is consistent with the other four delivered ships. The "MSC Türkiye" has a total length of 399.9 meters, a beam of 61.3 meters, a molded depth of 33.5 meters, a carrying capacity of nearly 240,000 tons, and an actual container capacity of 24,070 TEU. This ship is classed by DNV, and it was successfully completed with the joint efforts of the shipowners, onsite supervision team, classification society, and shipyard.
It is understood that Yangtze River Shipbuilding has received orders for 6 ships of this type of container ship, all of which are constructed by Yangzi Xin Fu under the group. Since March this year, Yangzi Xin Fu has achieved the established goal of delivering one 24000TEU container ship every month, and it is expected to conduct river trials and complete all deliveries one by one within this year.
