China Resources Dadong Celebrates 3 Million Accident-Free Hours on Agogo FPSO Modification Project

On the morning of December 19th, Shanghai CR Dadong Shipping Engineering Co., Ltd. (referred to as CR Dadong) held an award ceremony for the Agogo FPSO modification project with 3 million working hours of accident free and monthly safety incentives.

Laili Wang, the Construction Manager of the Yinson project, Chen Weiren, the Deputy Project Manager of China Resources Dadong, and Xiao Dongpo, the HSE Manager of the project, delivered speeches respectively. They express their gratitude to the Azule, Yinson, Kongsberg, and China Resources East project teams for their efforts in HSE, and hope that all personnel will continue to work hard, fully support and actively participate in HSE management work, and ensure the safe and smooth completion of the project.

Three awards, namely the Monthly Safety Star, Monthly Safety Management Star, and Weekly Safety Observation Card Selection Award for October and November, were presented on-site, with a total of 24 people receiving awards; And a safety lottery was held, with 16 people winning.

On December 6th last year, China Resources Dadong and YINSON signed a contract for the AGOGO FPSO modification project, with a contract period of 18 months. This is the third FPSO modification project in cooperation between China Resources Dadong and YINSON Company. AGOGO FPSO serves Angola in West Africa, with the end customer being Italy's ENI company. The target ship for retrofitting is a VLCC oil tanker built in 2009, with plans to start retrofitting in mid to late January 2023.

This time, a structural modification of about 20000 tons will be carried out, with a pipeline length of over 100 kilometers, cable laying of over 250 kilometers, special coating operation of over 400000 square meters, new production and overall lifting of 150 people, construction of a torch tower over 140 meters high, and lifting of multiple modules.

The Agogo FPSO project started retrofitting on February 8th this year and successfully achieved the goal of 3 million working hours without accidents by November 5th. As of the day of the award, the project has accumulated 270 days of safety production.

Since the start of the project, the management team has adhered to the concept of "safety first" and adopted measures such as strengthening safety training, conducting on-site inspections, meticulous safety planning, and observing the safety of all staff. They have achieved good results in safety management, and the safety awareness of the operators has also been strengthened, ensuring the orderly progress of the project.

Due to the complexity of the Agogo FPSO project, a large amount of work, and multiple cross operations on site, high requirements are placed on safety production. The project management team leader pointed out that the award of 3 million working hours without accidents is just the starting line, because the project is only halfway through and there is still a long way to go before safe completion. There are still many high-risk operations to be completed in the future, and the challenges of safety management and safety production are very severe. We must persistently strengthen all aspects of safety management, resolutely implement strict deployment, prevent and defend, and all departments and construction teams must further improve safety work to ensure that there are no blind spots in safety and zero tolerance for safety hazards, and continue to work hard to achieve the safety production goals of the entire project. On the morning of December 19th, Shanghai CR Dadong Shipping Engineering Co., Ltd.
