Changhong International launches the sixth 5300 container ship for NAViOS

At 19:38 on April 5th, Zhoushan Changhong International successfully launched the 6th 5300TEU container ship CHB2013, built by Greek shipowner NAViOS MARITIME PARTNERS L. P. Subsequently, the ship will undergo overall lifting and dock outfitting work.

Representatives from the shipowner's on-site office, DNV classification society, and company leaders jointly attended the launching ceremony.

The total length of the ship is about 237.8 meters, with a molded width of 38.8 meters and a molded depth of 21.8 meters. It is classified by DNV classification society. The ship type design concept subverts the traditional narrow design concept of container ships, adopting the concept of large wide bodies to optimize the line shape, equipped with optimized reduced power engines, low fuel consumption, EEDI energy consumption index, etc., which is more than 30 lower than the baseline index, meeting the requirements of phase 3. This series is equipped with a 2.5 layer binding bridge, which can load 3845 14T containers. Compared with other designs of the same ship type, it has an additional 145-345 container spaces, equipped with 1000 cold box sockets, and can load 750 cold boxes at the same time. It is equipped with an ultra-low sulfur oil system, AMP, SCR, and BWMS, which is green and environmentally friendly and meets the latest specifications.

There are a total of 10 5300 box series ships, and 2 have been delivered so far.
